Minister for prisons for punjab

In the new govt formed on 18th feb 2008 chaudry ghafoor was appointed the new prisons minister for punjab by the new govt.Several controversies have been linked to him in the past and now in the present as well. These include the case regarding illegally forces ASF(airport security force) to let his friends pass through the customs unattendend. secondly, there was a case regarding using abusive language against the media publically. later, the punjab chief minister made him apologise to the concerned people. despite that fact, people still think that this person is incapable of this post/authority.

i dont think changing one person would provide as a solution to this problem.we need change for the entire system.this is only way we can eliminate persistance of corruption.

  9. Naiha Shafiq Says:

either people die in indian or pakistani jails it doesnot matter, what matters is that human life is wasted and every country as well as UN should work to uplift the levels of jails all over the world specially jails of third world countries.

  10. Maham Masood Says:

Pakistani jails should improve their atmosphere for the prisoners.Providing them with better food and some in jail entertainment activities. So that they have mental peace as they're already going throught a trauma.

  11. Zaid Nomani Says:

We believe that we're no one to blame anyone for their actions especially in a country like Pakistan where everyone takes undue advantage of their position. So changing one person wont make it a difference, its the system that needs to be refurbished!

prisoners should be provided with adequate rights no matter where they are, in Pakistan or India.they have the right to be treated well in all spheres.there tend to be so many situations in which they are not even held responsible for most of the crimes .there should be compllete justice.

  14. Abdul Samad Says:

This is another fine example, which illustrates the fact that Pakistani officials are unjust and corrupt. Corruption has plagued the very roots of Pakistan and it is because of these people (jailor) that Pakistan is going through a phase of infamy.

L banda hai yeh if u wanna knw abt him here is a desc Punjab Assembly (PA) Speaker Rana Iqbal has barred Minister for Prisons Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) MPA Bushra Nawaz Gerdaizi from attending the PA proceedings.

The speaker barred the minister from attending the session for eight days, and imposed a one-day restriction on Gerdaizi for their involvement in an incident that happened on the floor of the House on June 29 (Monday). The speaker also directed the two MPAs to either tender an apology on their return, or for other MPAs to apologise to the House on their behalf.
    see they themselves are dum!!!!!

  17. depends on the crime commited by the person... facillatating criminals should not be the purpose of jails... i think they should be given psychological treatments to help them come out of the evils of this world....

  19. nida Says:

the minister of prision should also finish all forms of social discrimination among the prisoners..some prisoners with special sources are given prefrence over those who dont have any..so the minister should look into this problem

  20. Hamza Says:

The honourable minister has been in the midst of controversy since the past few months as already mentioned in the topic. this shows the negligence of our government, provincial in this regard who havent yet intervened in this regard and put him to trial.

  21. Sharmin Arif Says:

this is the case with most people with authority in pakistan. they are corrupt people abusing their authority while they should be more responsible infact. it is a shame that most of our leading institutions are being run by incapable and irresponsible people with such lack of maturity and fear of God.
